This Women's History Month, we at Gigantic Tickets are not only taking the time to celebrate the incredible, inspiring and trailblazing women in our industry of music and events, but also the women we work with here who help get you to the events you love.

Gigantic is proud to acknowledge and celebrate its talented female staff, who work tirelessly to ensure our business functions every day. From our marketing department promoting the shows you see on our site, to customer service answering all your queries, and our operations team keeping Gigantic running smoothly: thank you to all the women who make up our team for being so crucial to what we do.

Sarah Moore

Head of Marketing

Hey Sarah! So what is it that you do at Gigantic, and how long have you worked there?

Hello! I'm Gigantic Tickets' Head of Marketing, and have been for around 18 months. That means I lead the entire marketing department in promoting the gigs and events you see on our website, on behalf of the event organisers we work with - across social media, email, and online. I also promote Gigantic as a company and service provider to our customers and clients.

What would you say is the best part of your job?

I really enjoy coming up with new creative ways to shout about our events and services. Problem solving is where I get a lot of my job satisfaction, and seeing my team succeed is really fulfilling. The marketing team would also be the first to tell you that I'm never happier than when I'm buried in a spreadsheet!

Tell us your favourite female artist of all time?

Hayley Williams of Paramore is my ultimate icon. The work she's done as part of the band, and as a solo artist in her own right, has given me so much joy since I was a teenager. I think she's one of the most incredible female rock singers of all time. She'll go down in history as one of the greats, you mark my words!

This year's theme for International Women's Day is #InspireInclusion. What does this mean to you?

I think even though, as women, most of us have faced some kind of adversity in our lives because of our gender, it's super important to recognise our privilege when we have it. Whether it's because of our race, class, sexuality, or something else entirely, we need to do our part as women to uplift and support others who might not be as fortunate as we are. We should use that privilege to be inclusive, and level the playing field so we can all succeed together. Women supporting women is the best thing in the world!

Gemma Treece

Customer Service Agent

What do you do, and how long have you worked at Gigantic?

I'm Gemma and I work in the customer service team. I've been with Gigantic since October 2023, so around six months.

What's the best part of your job?

For me, the best part of my job is working within an industry that I love, and helping to make people happy 😊

Who's your favourite female artist?

There's so many I could choose from, but Debbie Harry is up there for me!

Bethan Boast

Digital Marketing Coordinator

Hey Bethan! Tell us what do you do, and how long have you worked at Gigantic?

I'm Gigantic's Digital Marketing Coordinator. I have worked at Gigantic for just over a year and a half.

What would you say is the best part of your job?

I enjoy the creative and forever changing landscape of marketing, and it’s nice to be even just a tiny cog in the music and events industry!

Who's your favourite female artist right now, or ever?

Beyonce (obviously) and shout out to Miley Cyrus!

What do you think this year's theme for International Women's Day #InspireInclusion means to you?

It’s important to recognise the different views and valuable contributions of women from all backgrounds, including those from marginalised communities. All women should be valued, respected, and listened to.

Elizabeth Jepson

Social Media Manager

What do you do, and how long have you worked at Gigantic?

Hello, I'm Elizabeth Gracie Jepson, and I've been dedicated to managing Gigantic Tickets' social media presence for the past seven years. Alongside a talented marketing team, I handle our social platforms, providing our promoter clients with general marketing support for their shows.

What's the best part of your job?

As a passionate music enthusiast, the highlights of my job include uncovering numerous new bands and artists through collaborations with incredible live music promoters. Attending gigs and festivals, and immersing myself in the vibrant music scene is what I love most about my job.

Who's your favourite female artist?

Lady Gaga is my favourite female artist because of her impact and contributions to the empowerment of women. My admiration for her music dates back to 2008 when my sister and I stumbled upon her on Myspace.

Since then, her fearless advocacy for self-acceptance, promotion of gender equality, body positivity, and mental health have deeply resonated with me. She encourages women to embrace their uniqueness, and promotes messages of self-love and confidence through her music and public persona. I just adore her!

This year's theme for International Women's Day is #inspireinclusion. What does this mean to you?

#InspireInclusion is very important to me because I believe it embraces a commitment to fostering a world where every woman, regardless of background, identity, or circumstance, feels valued, respected, and empowered. In advocating for equal opportunities, and celebrating the achievements of women from all walks of life and recognising the challenges they face. Ultimately, it is a call to action to create environments where every woman can thrive and fulfil her potential.

Amy Davis

Customer Service Manager

Hey there, Amy - what do you do at Gigantic and how long have you done it for?

I've worked here for 10 years, and I am Customer Services Manager.

Would you like to tell us about the best part of being Customer Services Manager? 

The best part of my job is working in a fun environment alongside my friends. It's nice to hear feedback from customers that have had a great time at the events they have booked through us, too.

Which female artist tops the list as your favourite? 

It's got to be Kate Bush!

Kelly McKinney

Head of Operations

Hi Kelly! What do you do, and how long have you worked at Gigantic?

I have worked at Gigantic for 11 years. I initially began working in Event Management and have recently taken on the new role as Head of Operations.

What do you consider the best part of your job now?

The best part of my job is working together with people who have the similar values and ethics, whether they are colleagues or clients.

Go on, spill. Who's your favourite female artist?

Dolly Parton. I was introduced to her music at a young age and have been a huge fan ever since. Not only is she an incredible singer and songwriter, but Dolly has also donated over 150 million books to her Imagination Library, donated $1 million towards COVID-19 research, and supported numerous less fortunate families. She truly is an inspiration.

What does the International Women's Day theme #InspireInclusion mean to you?

In my opinion, the idea of "Inspire Inclusion" revolves around making sure that everyone is welcomed and valued. It means celebrating our differences and creating an environment where everyone feels like they belong.
