A really good night. They always provide a good show and really good interaction and story telling. Group were brilliant and old school with setting up instrument themselves. A string went on one guitar and they changed and retuned in the middle of the song . Venue really needs air conditioning as boiling there.

Hayseed Dixie play comic reworkings of hard rock songs with a bluegrass twist. They have played over 1,100 shows across the entire world.

The Nashville, Tennessee-based band have sold over 250,000 albums, including A Hillbilly Tribute to AC/DC which topped the US Grass Charts.

Their band members are John Wheeler AKA Barley Scotch (vocals, acoustic guitar, violin), Tim Carter (banjo), Hippy Joe Hymas (mandolin, acoustic guitar) and Jake "Bakesnake" Byers (acoustic bass).

Pioneers of rockgrass, Hayseed Dixie take influence from hard rock and give it the bluegrass treatment to create a unique new sound that is reaching a global audience. Over the past 17 years the band has released 14 albums and played over 1,100 gigs across the entire world.

Their band members currently include mandolin player Hippy Joe Hymas who shares acoustic guitar duties with vocalist and multi-instrumentalist John Wheeler (aka Barley Scotch), banjo player Tim Carter and acoustic bassist Jake "Bakesnake" Byers.

They boast an incredible back catalogue starting with debut album A Hillbilly Tribute to AC/DC which saw them perform tributes to the incredible hard rock band. It topped the US Bluegrass charts.

Their latest record is titled Free Your Mind And Your Grass Will Follow. The brand new album actually was first started back in 2000 when Wheeler and former member Mike Daly (aka Wilson Cook) hit a home studio following an incredible whisky drinking binge.
