Great band in any venue.

I`m not the biggest fan of the Rescue Rooms in Nottingham, sometimes it can be very difficult to get a decent view, especially if you arrive to catch the headline band. Black Stone Cherry always deliver, even if this is one of the smallest venues they`ve played in the UK in some 17 years of playing around the UK. From the arenas, concert halls and smaler clubs like Rock City, the band always give 100% and tonight was no exception, with just a few numbers from their new album, the band played a 20 songs set of some classic BSC. Make sure you get to one of these shows, if not I`m sure the guys will be back in 2024 to rock our socks off again.

Black Stone Cherry, Rescue Rooms, Nottingham - 2nd October 2023

Southern Rock in a Welsh castle. Incredible.

A great night spent in the company of a band right at the top of their game. You could feel the energy flowing from the stage and the band were loving it. Awesome sound, wicked set list, simple but effective light show. Loved every minute of it.

Black Stone Cherry, Caerphilly Castle, Caerphilly - 13th July 2019

Unforgettable

My Word! That gig was phenomenal! To live it without looking at my phone was incredible just soaking it all up. Chris’ voice was off the hook. All bands were amazing.

Black Stone Cherry, Caerphilly Castle, Caerphilly - 13th July 2019

Great music, shame about the crowd

Caerphilly Castle is an outstanding venue for a concert. Listening to great music surrounded by such history. All 3 bands were great. Black Stone Cherry played all their hits with gusto. They are great performers. The crowd had those who couldn’t hold their drink and those who couldn’t care less about anyone but themselves. I left before the encore because of the selfishness of others. It’s a shame as the music was terrific.

Fantastic show

Took my 13yr old daughter to gig as she has heard my play a few songs and she is hooked. They blew us away!!! 3rd time for me to see them and in my opinion they are one of best live acts around. Few drunks acting up but apart from that superb

Artist Bio

Black Stone Cherry are an exciting mix of southern style rock with heavy grunge overtones. Having just released their sixth studio album Kentucky, they are ready to return to the UK to promote the new release with further incredible live shows.

"We are beyond thrilled to be headlining our first arena tour in the UK! It's amazing for us to have this opportunity and we owe it all to the incredible fans that continue to support us and believe in our music!" - John Fred Young

The hard rock band consists of drummer John Fred Young, rhythm guitarist Ben Wells, lead guitarist and vocalist Chris Robertson with Jon Lawhon on bass.

Having first started the band as teens, the band truly first started in 2001 with the members now making a concerted effort including the release of their first demo CD entitled Rock N’ Roll Tape.

In 2006 they self-released their eponymously titled debut album Black Stone Cherry. Upon completion of the recording they were invited to perform at a homecoming gig held by their former school principle which was attending by 1,500 local well-wishers. The record has now sold in excess of 110,000 copies.

The band have continued to grow seeing second album Folklore And Superstition rise to #23 in the UK Charts after its release in 2008. 2011 album Between The Devil And The Deep Blue Sea hit #13 and 2014 release Magic Mountain smashed in at #5.
