AIR award-winning songwriter Julia Jacklin has identified herself as one to watch right from the start of her incredible career, giving her indie rock a folk twist and blues rock. Now on her third album Pre Pleasure she looks perched to truly break into the mainstream and reach the massive success she’s always been edging towards.
Jacklin enlisted the aid of ace producer Marcus Paquin who has previously worked with the likes of The National and The Weather Station to create a masterpiece record which she takes on tour in November, tickets on sale with Gigantic!

When Australian indie pop songwriter Stella Donnelly hit the scene five years ago; listeners were floored first by the immense potential as first revealed on her EP Thrush Metal and then by the intensity of her raw honesty found on debut record Beware Of The Dogs. Now, Donnelly is back with second album Flood which proves she truly is the voice of the next generation.
Donnelly pushes herself even further into difficult waters on Flood, daring to be even more vulnerable and introspective as she takes a deep look at her lost past, those innocent days connecting with the natural wilderness of bird watching in the rainforests of Bellingen. She channels her inner child and dares herself to grow in full view of her audience, publicly displaying those nightmarish moments that define growth.
The creative process saw her pen 43 songs, whittled down and perfected into the newly released record which is destined to be featured in my Album of the Year polls.
