Fantastic

Charming and emotive performance by a very talented musician. First time at Castle & Falcon, really great venue in the heart of Balsall Heath. Loved it.

Look out world, because alt country / indie folk just got a new champion; Julia Jacklin!

Growing up in the Blue Mountains of Australia, Jacklin made her first forays into music whilst still in school, joining a covers band that played the likes of Avril Lavigne and Evanescence. She later began working on the production line in a factory producing essential oils after graduating from university.

She began to enjoy critical acclaim following the release of her two singles Pool Party and Coming OF Age, both of which enjoyed prominent airplay on BBC Radio 6. She has toured relentless since March of 2016 and became a festival favourite after appearing at SXSW, End Of The Road and Electric Picnic. Her debut album Don’t Let The Kids Win was released in October of 2016.
