Great performance

A super little venue and an ideal place to see Kate and her brilliant band. Sound quality was excellent and This is the Kit were fabulous. Amazing musicians playing great, unique songs. There is no one like them, fabulous.

Rare and remarkable;)))

Very sweet, genuine approach to her audience. Lovely music, almost as recorded, interaction with joked, stories and insights. Rest of the band were not looking so happy though.. apart from the base player.;) perhaps shy but basicslly not communicative.. Frontwoman made the whole difference!!

Lovely stuff

First time seeing This Is The Kit after being completely won over by Moonshine Freeze. Despite the limitations of the venue the gig was great; the band thoroughly engaging and even the odd technical issue or query over what key to start in was endearing and part of their absolute charm. Would happily go see them again.

This Is The Kit are a folk-rock group from Winchester. Formed in 2003, the trio includes Rozi Plain (bass), Jamie Whitby-Coles (drums) and Neil Smith (guitar).

They have released six studio albums titled Krülle Bol (2008), Wriggle Out the Restless (2010), Brassland (2012), Bashed Out (2015), Moonshine Freeze (2017), Off Off On (2020) and Careful of Your Keepers (2023).

Artist Bio

This Is The Kit is the musical project of Kate Stables. Since 2008 she has been crafting beautiful folk songs. Her latest album 'Off Off On' is a masterclass in complex song writing. See the folk outfit perform live on the Arboretum Bandstand.
