Brilliant as always

The Quireboys always put on a good show and their latest gig at the flowerpot in Derby didn’t disappoint either. A fantastic band who are always friendly and chatty with their fans. Will keep watching them perform that’s for sure!

The Quireboys - Unplugged, The Flowerpot, Derby - 23rd March 2019

great night

I,ve seen quireboys numerous times and they are always good, prefer electric rather than acoustic, love the banter between the band members, had a good night singing along.

Artist Bio

Hard rockers The Quireboys are a must see for anyone who claims to enjoy live music. Their sleazy brand of dirty rambunctious rock and roll has struck a chord with listeners all around the world when they emerged in the late 80’s and have continued to enjoy the adoration of their international fan base.

The band members include guitarists Guy Griffin and Paul Guerin, vocalist John Grey AKA Spike with Keith Weir on keys.

Formed in the 80’s, the band formally worked under the title The Choirboys and soon changed it to Queerboys. The London band developed a following at Oxford Street venue Marquee Club which led to wider fame. Ironically, as their name spread the controversy of their title forced them change their name to The Quireboys. Adopted by Sharon Osbourne as their manager, they signed to major label EMI and released debut album A Bit Of What You Fancy in 1990. The album debuted at #2 in the UK charts and enjoyed critical acclaim to accompany their commercial success.

Their fantastic career has continued down the years and has seen them play the world over plus release thirteen studio albums including their latest; Twisted Love.
