Fantastic evening

Amazing performace from The Mission, Looking good and sounding even better! Alas few idots decided to Pogo and pushing the audience a bit too much causing distress and injury to some people, learn to dance instead of pushing! The team at the round house were polite and helpfull printing a ticket for me, the cloackroom is too expensive and the silly new method with the telephone message was terrible, please go back with the paper tickets . Hopefully the Mission will play again. Thank you Gigantic!

The Mission, Rock City, Nottingham - 24th October 2023

Brilliant performance

Absolutely fantastic concert The Mission were top class and Wayne Hussey had an amazing voice. There were some sound issues which impacted my enjoyment from my position on the balcony at times as took a few seconds to grasp the lyrics being sung. Not sure if this was the same near to the stage but definitely a recommended concert for others on the rest of the tour and beyond

The Mission - The United European PArty Tour, Cheese & Grain, Frome - 1st March 2020

Goth rock overlords The Mission pioneered the sound and style of alternative rock, setting the template for all brooding bands in their wake.

Formed in 1985, the passion of their black hearts was first revealed in 1985 with the release of their Top-40 single "Stay With Me". They would steal the souls of listeners with a landslide of 13 hits over the next 8 years, including such atmospheric singles as "Wasteland", "Tower Of Strength", "Beyond The Pale", "Deliverance" and "Butterfly On A Wheel".

The following decade would see the release of such epic albums as Neverland and Blue; seminal records which helped push their combined album sales beyond the four million mark. And today, their devoted followers continue to flock to every show, with packed-out venues selling out all across the world.

Artist Bio

The Mission are the definitive gothic rock band. Dark, brooding and wildly exciting. The band found fame all over the globe after they quickly established themselves as one of the most exciting live bands of all time.

Formally known as The Sisterhood, the band was first started by front Wayne Hussey and bassist Craig Adams after leaving Sisters Of Mercy in 1986. The band’s original line up saw them join up with Simon Hinkler on guitar and drummer Mick Brown - now replaced by the superbly talent Mike Kelly.

The band remain highly influential having sold more than 4 million records including their nine main albums: God's Own Medicine, Children, Carved in Sand, Masque, Neverland, Blue, Aura, God is a Bullet, The Brightest Light and Another Fall From Grace which was released in 2016.
