Patti Smith Quartet, Brighton Dome, Brighton - 25th June 2024
Have followed Patti Smith since 1975. Used to play her songs in the record department where I worked in my Saturday job. I always wanted to see her live and finally got my chance with my partner. Great venue great sound. Her voice was amazing and the impromptu moments and mistakes made her more human and made the evening more special. Her covers were better than the originals because of her voice- hope there is a recording of her tour.

Living legend Patti Smith is an icon of the 20th century. The poet, visual artist, activist and songwriter has had a profound cultural impact, shaping the sound of rock and punk. She is best known for the huge anthem "Because the Night" co-written with Bruce Springsteen.
Her extensive back-catalogue includes the Gold-certified debut album Horses (1975), silver-selling record Easter (1978) and latest title Banga (2012).
