Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band Tickets

The Boss is back! Bruce Springsteen is once again electrifying stages, currently playing a string of massive US concerts and will be returning to the UK stadiums as part of the European leg of The River Tour.

The international tour kicks off to promote the release of a 35th Anniversary edition of The Ties That Bind: The River Collection. Originally released in 1980, The River album marked a period of growth for Springsteen. In exploring themes of maturity, marriage and the responsibilities that come with adulthood, the album took a more sombre tone than its predecessors.

The Ties That Bind had originally been written as part of the sessions for Springsteen previous album Darkness On The Edge Of Town and had been played live whilst touring in 1978. Originally planned as the title track for a single record, the recording sessions continued until it was clear that it would be better to release a double album. And so it chosen to be the opening song on The River.

Singer, song writer, poet and activist. The songs of Bruce Springsteen explore the reality of the American dream. Gritty yet triumphant, Springsteen has developed the story telling techniques of folk and blues with the power of rock to write anthems that speak of the everyday lives of the working class and giving voice to those who are all too often forgotten. His songs have shaped the political landscape he writes about, coming to define the history of the very people and movements he writes about.

Though his songs may hold a hard message, his shows are a masterclass in energy and enthusiasm. A massive back catalogue of hits to his name including Trapped, Hungry Heart, Atlantic City, Glory Days, War, Human Touch, Tunnel Of Love, Born In The U.S.A. and the epic single Dancing In The Dark.

Bruce Springsteen is greatly celebrated, having won many awards including an Academy Award for Best Original song in 1994 for .Streets Of Philadelphia. and twenty Grammy Awards with a further twenty nine nominations.

Whilst playing a lengthy tour right across the United States followed by dates in various European countries, Bruce Springsteen And The E Street Band will be performing electrifying performances in the UK, including Etihad Stadium in Manchester and Hampden Park at Glasgow.

Artist Bio

Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band are generally regarded as one of the best live bands ever. Famous for their extremely long concerts, the band is well-respected throughout rock. Note that only live recordings can be credited to Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band. The official artist credit for all of Bruce Springsteen’s studio recordings (even for those recorded with the E Street Band as his studio band) is Bruce Springsteen.

Since forming in 1972, the band's members have changed; however, core members include saxophonist Clarence Clemons, organist Danny Federici, bassist Garry Tallent, drummer Max Weinberg, pianist Roy Bittan and, of course, guitarist/singer/songwriter Bruce Springsteen. Guitarist Steven Van Zandt joined the band while recording Born to Run and made this record at least possible. He became one of the most honored and most influential members.

Other musicians important to the band include guitarist Nils Lofgren (who stepped in after Van Zandt quit); guitarist/singer Patti Scialfa (who is also Springsten's wife); and pianist David Sancious and drummers "Mad Dog" Vini Lopez and Ernest "Boom" Carter, who all had left the band prior to Born to Run. Also, The Rising tour saw the official addition of violinist Soozie Tyrell.

In 1989 the band split up, after the massive success of the Born in the USA tour and the quieter Tunnel of Love tour.
