The Drill was a venue we'd never been to before but it's one we would definitely visit again as it's a smaller more intimate venue, and the staff were lovely. The support act Burr Island were an unexpected treat, we did not know anything about these guys but really enjoyed their set, even bought their cd afterwards. The Blow Monkeys certainly didn't disappoint either playing hit after hit. A band who sound as fresh today as they did back in the 80s. All in all a brilliant night out.

The Blow Monkeys are the epitome of glamorous 80s pop. Formed in 1981, the band is led by Robert Howard (aka Dr. Robert) who wrote their greatest hits “Digging Your Scene” and “It Doesn’t Have To Be This Way” before splitting in 1990.
The band reformed in 2007 and continues to release new music, including latest album Journey to You (2021).
