Really enjoyed the music, however cannot understand why only 💯 people turned up. Very disappointing with that.

Great band. Great singer. Really enjoyed the evening. Big downside was I paid for my wife and I only to find nearer the date it was buy one get one free. Bit miffed about this.

Such an awesome gig 4th time seeing them and they never disappoint. Even though they sadly were one man down they pulled together and filled in so you wouldn’t notice. Such a great bunch of musicians who know their craft and are fun approachable chaps. Always have time for you after the gigs. Always a great night leaves you with a huge smile on your face. Brilliant night, band was amazing play fantastic, sounded great too , well done to the corn exchange, sound engineer, will be back to watch more bands there , plus I go anytime I can to watch smoove and turrell a really good band

Smoove & Turrell are pioneers of their very own Northern Funk sound, which draws on soul, northern soul, hip-hop, electronica and funk.
Led by J Jonathan Scott Watson (AKA Smoove) and singer / songwriter John Turrell, their band members are Mike Porter (Keyboards), Lloyd Wright (Guitar), Neil Harland (Bass) and Oscar Cassidy (Drums).
They have released seven records, including Antique Soul (2009), Eccentric Audio (2011), Broken Toys (2014), Crown Posada (2016), Mount Pleasant (2018), Solid Brass: Ten Years Of Northern Funk (2019) and Stratos Bleu (2020).
