Soon-to-be husband and wife dream team Aaron Bond and Grace Holmes first started performing together under the name Holmes and Bond in 2016. Holmes was already established on the festival circuit, singing with a Meat Loaf tribute act whilst Bond had featured in numerous rock and blues bands.
In 2019, they changed their name to the now-familiar title When Rivers Meet and dropped debut EP The Uprising and first record Liberty. They began touring the same year in their own VW camper van and appeared at the Great British Rock and Blues Festival in Skegness before COVID caused a temporary halt on gigs and events. They used the time to build an online following, honing their sound and playing streamed sessions to an ever-growing audience, also releasing a second album We Fly Free.
Having perfected their blues-rock style and with an enlarged fanbase ready to greet them, the third LP Saving Grace was always destined for success. Not only was it their first record to achieve a chart position, but it was also well-received by critics and saw the pair win Emerging Blues Artist of the Year; Blues Band of the Year; Blues Album of the Year; and Most Inspirational Online Performance of the Year at the 2021 UK Blues Awards.
Now, When Rivers Meet are back with a brand-new album Aces Are High. Including singles “Perfect Stranger”, “Seen It All Before” and “Infected”, it’s clear their time is now as they announce a 2024 headline tour plus top the bill at UK Blues, Rhythm & Rock Festival!
