A powerful voice of the new generation as a playwright, novelist and spoken word performer; BRIT Award nominee Kae Tempest fuses hip hop, poetry and spoken word as heard on their Mercury Prize nominated albums Everybody Down and Let Them Eat Chaos.

Tempest now announces new album The Line Is a Curve and tickets for unmissable headline shows via Gigantic HERE.

First published in 2013, Tempest’s self-released poetry book Everything Speaks in its Own Way was an impressive statement of arrival which immediately caught the attention of the literally world and saw them win such esteemed awards as Tempest the Herald Angel and The Ted Hughes Prize.

At the same time, Tempest revealed their considerable creative prowess as a playwright as Birmingham Rep Theatre staged their play Hopelessly Devoted as produced by Paines Plough whilst also making major waves onstage both as a spoken word performer and musician.

Debut album Everybody Down dropped in 2011 to great acclaim. Boosted from huge support from BBC 6music, it would shoot into the Top 20 and see Tempest established as major musician as they shifted from budding star to mainstream success. Both Everybody Down and successor record Let Them Eat Chaos would receive nominations for the esteemed Mercury Prize.

Kae Tempest now announces new album The Line Is a Curve. Produced by the one and only Rick Rubin (Beastie Boys, Run-DMC, Red Hot Chili Peppers), their fourth LP is showing every sign of being their best work yet and will be promoted with a tour in April – tickets just released today with Gigantic!
