Midnight Rodeo – “The Big Melt”

Pysche pop troupe Midnight Rodeo continue to impress with brand new single “The Big Melt”. Signed to awesome indie label FatCat Records (home of Honeyblood, The Twilight Sad, We Were Promised Jetpacks), their promising ascent continues with this sublimely surrealist song.

The Big Melt is a densely layered cornucopia of diverse percussion, Latin inspired rhythms and winding, shamanic guitar lines that almost seem to duet with the ethereal yet serene vocal melody. It’s a lot like listening to Eve talk to the Snake after passing on the forbidden fruit and deciding to raid God’s own mushroom patch instead.

Midnight Rodeo hit the road next month for a headline tour, plus playing support for Dutch garage rockers Mystic Peach. You can also catch them making an appearance at brand new festival Beam Me Up which takes over The Drill in Lincoln early next year.

Cassyette – “September Rain”

Fusing rock with electronica, nu-gen songwriter Cassyette (aka Cassy Brooking) is taking emo vibes to the next level with this powerful new single “September Rain”. Gloriously goth, it’s the perfect autumn anthem to take us into the dark nights.

I wrote this song this time last year. It's actually been like something I've been working on for a while, and then I came up with the full concept… And weirdly, it's been raining all week. So, I feel like it's [dropped at] exactly the right time.

“September Rain” is taken from her forthcoming debut mixtape Sad Girl which is scheduled for release on Thursday 10th of November. Cassyette has also announced headline dates for the new year – tickets on sale with Gigantic!

Katatonia – “Atrium”

Swedish prog metal band Katatonia announce their next album Sky Void Of Stars with a truly epic lead single “Atrium” packed full of pathos, reaching incredible emotional depths via soaring melodic riffs.

"Our 12th album, Sky Void Of Stars is a dynamic journey through vibrant darkness. Born out of yearning for what was lost and not found, the very peripheries of the unreachable, but composed and condensed into human form and presented as sounds and words true to the KATATONIA signum. No stars here, just violent rain."

Katatonia unite with Icelandic post-metal monsters Sólstafirm for a mighty tour next year. A must for all hard rock fans – tickets can be yours when you book with Gigantic.
