Hi Gigantic Gang,
We are back with all the latest awesome track and tunes – just for you! Stick with us and we will get you to the very best gigs and festivals. Plus, our #NewMusicPlaylist is the perfect soundtrack to your weekend.
'Green Eyes' is the brand-new song from the esteemed three-piece sister act Joseph. The third single to be taken from their forthcoming album ‘Good Luck Kid’, it’s an emotional folk pop descent into jealousy and all the heart ache it causes.
“You’re starting to sense this person slipping away from you and you explain how it’s ok if they’re questioning, but you feel certain and you’ll be right over here waiting for them to see what you see. This person is a much more confident and grounded person... she knows what she wants and she offers it with open hands.”
The unstoppable rise of Heavy Lungs continues with yet another barrage to the senses: '(A bit of a) Birthday'. The unrelenting song will appear on their upcoming EP ‘Measure’ which contains five blistering tracks and is released by Balley Records on Thursday 10th of October. You can pre-order it on limited edition pumpkin 12” right HERE.
We have been lucky enough to be seeing a lot of Heavy Lungs lately; check out our REVIEW OF THE DOWNS festival in Bristol where they exploded on stage plus THIS INTERVIEW ahead of their November tour plus appearing at Ritual Union and 2Q Festival Lincoln.
There is a lot of love for the woolly indie folk band WHITNEY in our office and we are really impressed with the latest LP ‘Forever Turned Around’ – which is why we made them our Artist Of The Week. If you haven’t seen it already, you can check out the full article right HERE!
Perfect listening as the leaves turn golden and the nights grow longer; ‘Forever Turned Around’ is a real masterpiece which somehow takes the sense of trepidation currently felt throughout liberal America and turns it into something beautiful. Single ‘Used To Be Lonely’ is a particular highlight on this well-crafted and timeless album.
Gigantic first discovered hip hop inspired post punks Husky Loops playing Handmade Festival back in 2017. Innovative and inspired, the boys from Bologna had a real spark with the potential to start a real wildfire. Its why we just HAD to have them come into the studio and play for us on The Moonshine Sessions – click HERE to see more.
We have been eagerly awaiting their debut album and certainly are not disappointed! ‘I Can’t Even Speak English’ was recorded and produced by the band at Eastcote Studios in Kensal Road. Pier Danio Forni (vocals\guitar\samples), Pietro Garrone (drums\samples) and Tommaso Medica (bass) allow for playful experimentation which never drifts into self-indulgence to create a razor-sharp record that feels so vital.
Following on hot on the heels from the huge success of ‘Bloody Lovely’ last year, Australian party punks DZ Deathrays are back with their new album ‘Positive Rising: Part 1’. Clearly not short on ideas and having now expanded to become a trio, it’s nine tracks which are either bursting full of energy or have taken a more thoughtful direction and feels like a fresh start for the band – will there soon be a Part 2 to enjoy?
“We didn’t even take any gear, I think we took like, a guitar… maybe some pedals. So, we got there and kind of started from scratch, which is what we wanted to do. Shake things up for ourselves.”
Sleeping With Sirens first started in 2009 and the past decade has seen them rise to become a major name in metal, commanding a dedicated global audience. So, the release of their sixth album ‘How It Feels To Be Lost’ is a major event in music for the entire world!
Containing three awesome singles including ‘Agree To Disagree’, ‘Leave It All Behind’ and the title track, it’s a hard-hitting album that doesn’t pull its punches and sure to satisfy fans of both post-hardcore and metalcore.
Definitely one of their best, make sure you see them when they head to the UK to tour in November.
