Days Go By’ is a track about everyday life passing you by. Living each day by the next, stating the mundane with the opposites in your head and most importantly trying not to overthink it

PUBLIC SERVICE BROADCASTING – “People, Let’s Dance” featuring EERE

Inspired by historian and travel writer Rory MacLean, new Public Service Broadcasting single “People, Let’s Dance” is sang almost entirely in German in homage to the book Berlin: Imagine A City. Moving away from the sample-based indie-electronica for which they’re famed, and more towards an Eurocentric art-pop sound, their latest song glides seamlessly and is suitably accompanied by a stunning video of roller skaters wheeling before a post-industrial cityscape, as directed by Chloe Hayward.

“People, Let’s Dance” is taken from the London based band’s upcoming fourth album which they now reveal is to be titled Bright Magic which is released on 24th of September, Public Service Broadcasting celebrate their new material with an unmissable show at Nottingham’s iconic Rock City – set your personal reminder right now!

Obviously we're still in a time of quite substantial uncertainty about what the rest of the year looks like, but please, take a leap of faith with us and believe in the power of progress. We shall (hopefully!) be together again - we shall!” – J. Willgoose Esq.

Public Service Broadcasting tickets are released at 10:00 on Wednesday 09/06.

ALBUMS

PERTURBATORLustful Sacraments

Parisian darksynth maestro Perturbator (AKA James Kent) is back with fifth LP Lustful Sacraments. Taking a more melodic direction to his previous work, the new album forgoes the harsher industrial sounds for something more akin to early influences Sisters Of Mercy and Type O Negative.

I like to change my music. I like to try something different and to experiment a lot. I hate making the same album twice. When I write an album, I like it to be different than the previous one. You know, apply a little something here and there. Something new. “Lustful Sacraments” is a love letter to goth music that I've loved since I was a teenager. So it’s something I always wanted to do. Finally, the time was right to do it

Perturbator tickets are currently available.

JAPANESE BREAKFASTJubilee

Following on from stunning first album Psychopomp and lauded second record Soft Sounds From Another Planet, magical indie pop songwriter Michelle Zauner is back with a third helping of Japanese Breakfast with the celebratory LP Jubilee!

Both introspective and observational, Zauner is credited for writing some of her most bold pieces yet and has succeeded to communicating a tremendous sense of triumph and happiness across the then new tracks.

[Jubilee is] “a record about fighting to feel. I wanted to re-experience the pure, unadulterated joy of creation...The songs are about recalling the optimism of youth and applying it to adulthood. They’re about making difficult choices, fighting ignominious impulses and honouring commitments, confronting the constant struggle we have with ourselves to be better people.
