Unforgettable experience

Had a fantastic time, venue was small and intimate giving a brilliant atmosphere. Bands were quality, hadn't heard of the Faim or Boston Manor before but they were great! Lower than atlantis were class and all bands did a great job of interacting with the crowd!

This was the best event, it was amazing being able to see them so close and we had a really good time. Would highly recommend if they were to come back! 5* performance

Lower Than Atlantis, Lemon Grove, Exeter, Exeter - 11th April 2018

Brilliant night

LTA @ Cambridge Junction 3/4/18 First support act “the faim” were excellent. Second support “milk teeth” were disappointing, nothing new just a racket. LTA played as absolutely amazingly and played the crowd perfectly

Lower Than Atlantis, Cambridge Junction, Cambridge - 3rd April 2018

Complete audience participation!

Superb gig last night in Cambridge. LTA gave a very polished performance and fully involved the crowd along with an impromptu acoustic song right in the thick of it with everyone sitting down. Thoroughly recommended. Shout out also especially to The Faim who were one of the support acts -really impressive set.

Post hardcore band Lower Than Atlantis have an ever-widening fan base. Originally coming from Watford in Hertfordshire, they have fast grown into a massive international act. The band members currently include drummer Eddy Thrower, guitarists Ben Sansom with Mike Duce who provides vocals and Declan Hart on bass.

Catch them when they play at O2 Academy Oxford on Thursday 3rd of May 2018.

The band formed whilst in college during 2007 and threw themselves into writing and recording which produced the aptly titled Demo 2007. Their hard work continued and they produced their debut EP Bretton the following year.

Their first album benefitted from word of mouth being spread across the internet via MySpace. Named Far Q, the 2010 album was picked out by Kerrang! for favourable review. This was followed by second album World Record a year later. It narrowly missed topping the chart for Album Of The Year by Rock Sound upon release in 2011, hitting #3 instead. Their success continued with the release of their third album Changing Tune in 2012. Recorded in Rockfield Studios, the album would rise to #25 in the UK Album Chart. Their latest release is the 2014 eponymously titled record Lower Than Atlantis. It would see the band succeed even greater with the record hitting #16.

Artist Bio

Lower Than Atlantis are back with their most ambitious album to date and a new UK tour!

That's right music-lovers Lower Than Atlantis are back with a brand new album due for release in September. The self-titled album recorded in their own studio in Watford and produced by Dan Lancaster positively fizzes with musical ambition, lyrical wit, crossover potential and carpe diem spirit. The announcements don't stop there either, the group have also announced a headline UK tour for this July ahead of their Reading & Leeds Festival appearances in August.

From the us-against-the-world bravado of 'English Kids In America' (likely to become the anthem for any homegrown gang touring the US) to the reflective closer ‘Number One’, Lower Than Atlantis is the sound of a band determined to give everything they’ve got in search of glory. It’s reflective of a band who’ve grown up “I’m 25,” says singer Mike Duce, “It’s time to stop acting like a fucking child “ I’m definitely less of a nutter” without growing old “Don’t worry,” says Mike, “I won’t stop being mouthy “ I calls them as I sees them”.

And, whether you’re looking for brilliantly accessible rock anthems 'Emily', 'Here We Go' or heartbreakingly direct break-up songs 'Ain’t No Friend', LTA delivers. Mike Duce unflinchingly documents his unhappy experiences, both professional in 'Criminal' and personal in 'Words Don’t Come So Easily', but in a way that anyone and everyone will relate to. And, just as his lyrics have become more universal, and as LTA’s melodies reach peaks of infectiousness rarely scaled by punk rock geezers from Watford, so the band’s musical palate has expanded.

“There’s only so far you can go with four blokes playing guitars, bass and drums,” smiles Mike. “And now was the time to do whatever the fuck we wanted.” Consequently, an electronic edge snakes through the album, while the addition of strings, dance beats elevates LTA far above most of their rock peers.
