Dr John Cooper Clarke

Great Gig. Love Johnny Clarke, he never lets you down. He's a one off and I look forward to seeing him again. A wordsmith of the top order. A mention also for Mike Gary, JCCs support, superb as always, a great poet of the modern era, speaks from the heart. Roll on the next tour ✌️

Visceral, raw, vulgar, funny, energetic evening of the spoken word. Simply joyous

Best Boots in Northampton

Fantastic performance with stand-out support of Luke Wright who pointed out the Doctor’s love of Australian Boots….top rated!

Dr John Cooper Clarke , The Spinney Theatre, Northampton - 22nd April 2023

A trip back to Beasley St

Caught up with JCC in Clevedon after a failed attempt a few years back at the Fleece when my wife fainted after 5 mins. This was a really amusing evening. He was on top form and clearly in a good mood - maybe the sea air. He mused about loving it in Devon for which he was excused. A good mix of old and new ditties plus no little standup and joke telling. Overall good fun in a community hall not used to such events as far as I’m aware. But pretty ideal for this.

Clarkey in Clevedon

Very good concert from Dr John Cooper Clarke. Some rather dubious material in the middle but overall great performance from a great performer.
