If there is a more charismatic front man/songwriter in this genre of music then , please let me know. Matt Johnson and his marvellous band rocked The Waterfront in Norwich with a fabulous selection of old favourites and new songs from the forthcoming Ensoulment album. Matt quipped " its the best album from The The in the last 25 years!" We await with much anticipation but judging by the tasters so far, the intelligence, passion and old fire is still there in profusion. Packed to the rafters, it was one of those gigs that will live long in the memory. Thank you for bringing your inspirational talents to Norwich and big congratulations to the promoters and venue.

For The the to play at a small venue like the Waterfront was amazing.We were packed in and it was a brilliant atmosphere. Considering this was their 2nd concert after 6 years off you would have never known. Matt’s voice has stood the test of time and sounds as good as he did on Soul mining 40 years ago. I would recommend any The fan to go and watch them on the tour,you will not be disappointed

The The are a London-based post-punk band, best known for their huge anthem "This Is the Day".
First formed in 1979, the band now consists of Matt Johnson(vocals, guitars), Barrie Cadogan (lead guitar), DC Collard (keys), James Eller (bass) and Earl Harvin (drums).
Their 80’s heyday included the release of their gold-selling records Soul Mining (1983) and Infected (1986). Their success continued with studio albums Mind Bomb (1989), Dusk (1993), Hanky Panky (1995) and NakedSelf (2000). They have also released soundtrack records for Tony (2010), Moonbug (2012), Hyena (2015) and Muscle (2020).
