My first time at the Electric Ballroom in Camden. Interesting venue with lots of r n r history, similar the Barrowlands in Glasgow. The support came on as expected, early and were derivative but decent. The Hold Steady were energetic and excellent overall. A splendid song selection spanning their catalogue was greeted enthusiastically by the audience who were up for it from the start. Highlights were a song about a girl, a boy and a horse and Stuck Between Stations. Early curfew made the whole event a tad surreal but they played well, the crowd loved them and so everyone was happy.
