A Great Surprise

I bought the tickets for my husband's birthday. People laughed at us but we had the last laugh. We had a great night out. The music was great, the musicians were brilliant. We were up dancing with his die hard fans. We were pleasantly surprised at how good the night was.

Saw Shakin Stevens last year in Leeds all so what a great show. The guy is a legend and a great singer Hope to see you again next year Shakey in Bradford

Shakin Stevens

It was the final night for the tour of Shakin Stevens and he was supported by Gavin Povey. This was a greatest hits tour for the Welsh rocker and he didn’t fail to deliver with hits such as It’s Raining, Got My Mind Set On You and Marie Marie. People flocked to the front as he wowed them but were told to sit down before the start of the second half. He looked great and his band were excellent. As he started Marie Marie people went to the front. Acoustics are good in the Town Hall but the officials were quite oppressive. This was the first time I had seen him and realise there is much more to him than I had previously thought. After 40 years he is as enduring and as appealing as ever with a new album Echoes Of Our Times. A good night and the merchandise sold out. Would I see him again - definitely yes.
