This was my first time visiting at the new venue and also on a Friday. Our group had a fabulous day the best yet! The volunteers were very personable and knowledgeable, the food vendors varied and plentiful and the bands put on great performances. Lots of fun, laughter, singing, dancing and of course trying beers. Overall an altogether a fantastic event.

Excellent venue, smooth entry, helpful staff and volunteers, good range of stalls/available beers. Enjoyable experience that I look forward to repeating next year!

Robin Hood Beer And Cider Festival 2019, Motorpoint Arena, Nottingham - 9th October 2019
First time we had been to the beer festival in its new home of the arena. Thought it was well organised and had some really lovely beers - too many almost to make a choice! Even though it was Saturday didn't notice many that had run out which is better than it used to be. Nice to have the option of a third of a pint so you could sample more with your vouchers. Toilet facilities were good. Excellent live music. Downsides, the flooring over the ice flexed a lot as you walked on it which was a bit disconcerting (especially after a few drinks) and as beer was spilled it became slippy. Because of the venue size it's lost some atmosphere compared to the old Victoria Leisure Cente (sorry, never liked the castle as a venue). Location of food at back of the stage area meant lots of people trying to walk through the crowd listening to the live music - not the best arrangement. But really enjoyable night overall!
