Poetry evening

A good evening of poetry and spoken word talking about various subjects. All the artists were good in their own way and I would go again.

Nottingham Poetry Festival: Anthony Joseph, Antenna, Nottingham - 15th June 2024

Fresh faced poetry

A lovely space with a great host and a variety of voices. A relaxed audience full of people who were trying this type of event for the first time which added to the atmosphere. I was proud of the diaspora based line up.

Impressive line-uo

Venue was brilliant, staff really attentive and welcoming. We didn't know the support poets and compere, we're not local to Nottingham but it was an inspired choice and blend of styles. Lovely to meet the poets afterwards.

Beautiful energy in the room created by talented wordsmiths

Super friendly atmosphere and lovely team putting on something special and memorable. The talented poets really inspired my daughter who was thrilled to see spoken word. Thanks so much!

Nottingham Poetry Festival: Linton Kwesi Johnson , Metronome Nottingham, Nottingham - 14th June 2024

This year’s Nottingham Poetry Festival is a supersized 10 days of blistering performances, open mics, workshops, panels and community events that will see people unite together across the city (7th - 16th June 2024).

The annual celebration of words features headline shows from Linton Kwesi Johnson, Hollie McNish and Michael Pedersen, Luke Wright and Anthony Joseph with the full programme set to be released in April.

It’s the biggest and most ambitious programme lined up for this eighth year, under the direction a new creative director brought in for her experience of working in the community arts sector with a specific focus on the talent development of young artists, wellbeing and community events.
