My son and I bought tickets back in March to see Noel. My older son died in February and I wanted my son to have something to look forward to at such a distressing time. We have counted down the months and days and listened to Noel's music and Oasis tunes for so many months. We have bonded over his music and his songs mean the world to us. Driving down to Glasgow was exciting and emotional for us both. We got to the venue about 4 hours before the gig. We waited patiently with the other fans and the atmosphere was great. We could hear the band rehearsing and the excitement built and built. Once we were searched and had our tickets checked, it was time.. We walked as quickly as we could to get close to the front. No running allowed.. We were in the second standing row from the stage. Watching the crowd build behind us and feeling the buzz of excitement was amazing. After the support act finished, who were brilliant too, we were almost jumping up and down with excitement. Finally, the moment arrived and there he was. A huge talent and incredible legend of a man in a wee small body with a big guitar. The place was electric and the first song Pretty Boy sounded even better live than on the cd we play every day. I'm so glad we got to see Noel in Glasgow. There isn't a place like it in the world. I'm Scottish born and bred but lived in America for a lot of years. Seeing our hero in Glasgow at the Hydro was amazing. The crowd were fabulous and we felt safe and in the company of people who feel like we do about great music and no-one lives up to the expectations quite like Noel and his High Flying Birds. The security people made sure the crowd had water and were safe. They do an awesome job. I hope I will remember this night forever. ⭐⭐⭐

It was an amazing performance and an unforgettable experience. I had the best time of my life as I have met Noel Gallagher backstage. I had a nice chat with him and had pictures taken together, how wonderful is that!

The actual concert was excellent... But was the first concert I'd ever been to that I didn't get an alcoholic drink due to the huge queues

Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds - Live in Somerset 2023, Vivary Park, Taunton - 24th August 2023
Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds first emerged in October 2011 with their eponymous album which went double platinum in the UK selling over 2.5 million copies worldwide. In the two decades prior, Noel Gallagher was main songwriter, lead guitarist and occasional lead vocalist of Oasis, one of the biggest and most loved UK bands.
By the time a 2nd album was due for release, NGHFB had already played 150 live shows in 32 countries. ‘Chasing Yesterday’ was released in March 2015, followed by another 122 shows across 28 countries. The 3rd studio album, ‘Who Built The Moon?’, was recorded with renowned producer and composer David Holmes and released in November 2017.
The live appearances continued throughout 2019 including tours of the USA and Australia with Smashing Pumpkins and U2 respectively. Noel once again challenged industry norms releasing a series of critically acclaimed multi-genre EP’s throughout 2019 and 2020. June 2021 saw the release of ‘Back The Way We Came: Vol 1 (2011-2021)’ - a Best Of celebrating a decade of the band, curated by Noel.
This was NGHFB's 4th consecutive Number 1 album and the 12th across Noel’s career. In Summer 2022, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds completed a nationwide tour of outdoor shows, culminating with an epic set on Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage to one of the weekend’s biggest crowds. NGHFB recently released brand new single ‘Pretty Boy’ - the first track to be revealed from the forthcoming studio album available in 2023.
