Ne-Yo, Marshall Arena, Milton Keynes - 16th September 2017

Neyo still got it

Never been to the Apollo before, with it being a smaller venue it meant we could see more of Neyo and that beautiful smile he has : @ ) Neyo played all his hits including some new songs which were ace! At times the sound didn't travel that well which meant it was hard to hear what was being said. This was during the support act and main set (the base over powered the singing/rapping) Would still go again, would never get bored of NEYOOoooooOOo plus I am still recovering from the shock as to how close we were to him! xx

Ne-Yo, O2 Apollo Manchester, Manchester - 13th September 2017

Hit R&B singer \ song writer \ producer Ne-Yo is about to make his return to the UK. Having won international acclaim with the massive single Let Me Love You which he wrote for singer Mario, Ne-Yo soon was recognised as a hugely talented artist in his own right and now enjoys international celebrity status.

He finishes the year in style with a highly exciting UK tour. Starting at Cardiff Motorpoint Arena in November before hitting Barrowland at Glasgow, O2 Apollo Manchester, Arena MK at Milton Keynes, Bristol’s Colston Hall, Bournemouth International Centre (BIC), O2 Academy Birmingham and O2 Academy Brixton in south London during December. Ne-Yo tickets are now on sale but are expected to sell quickly so book now or risk missing out.

Shaffer Chimere Smith was born in Camden, Arkansas before being relocated to Las Vegas after his parents divorced in search of a better life with his mother. There, whilst studying at Las Vegas Academy, he would adopt the moniker GoGo and join R&B group Envy who appeared on Showtime At The Apollo before disbanding in 2000.

Changing his title to Ne-Yo, Smith was briefly signed to major label Columbia Records but dropped before he could release his debut record. He concentrated for a time on being a writer rather than the performer and scored a major hit for Mario with the song Let Me Love You which stayed at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for nine weeks.

Emboldened by the success, he was soon signed to the highly influential Def Jam Recordings and released debut album In My Own Words which has sold over 3.6 million copies and been certified Platinum. His fame and commercial success has continued to grow with the subsequent albums which include Because Of You, Year Of The Gentleman, Libra Scale, R.E.D. and Non-Fiction.
