Amazing lyrics with beautiful music

This was the 4th time I’ve seen Jamie and he turned out a fabulous performance as expected. The venue with its great acoustics suited him (although I’ve seen him in 2 big venues including a stadium and he was awesome in them too) He is self deprecating and modest and the audience loved him. Meeting him after made my evening, such a nice guy with huge amount of talent for writing and singing! I just love him!

Jamie Lawson is a singer / songwriter best known for his hit single, "Wasn't Expecting That".

Lawson released three albums to modest success, including Last Night Stars (2003), The Pull of the Moon (2010) and Wasn't Expecting That (2011).

In 2015, he released his self-titled album on Ed Sheeran’s label Gingerbread Man which shot to No. 1. Having broken through into the mainstream, he has continued with records Happy Accidents (2017) and The Years in Between (2019).

Currently mid-way through a sold out UK run of dates, Jamie Lawson has today announced a huge 16 date autumn tour, including a date at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on October 19th. The tour in October kicks off in Belfast on the 5th, and includes Glasgow’s Barrowland on the 8th, O2 Academy Brixton on the 19th and rounds off at Plymouth Pavilions on the 27th. Earlier this month, Jamie also announced his new single, fan favourite ‘Cold In Ohio’, taken from his #1 eponymous album.

Last year, Jamie was announced as the first signing to Ed Sheeran’s own label Gingerbread Man Records. In the whirlwind that followed, Jamie toured with Ed across the world, went from playing to 150 people at London’s Barfly to supporting One Direction on their final full UK arena tour. His self-titled album, released in October 2015, reached #1 in the UK and has sold over a quarter of a million copies worldwide. Furthermore, his juggernaut single Wasn’t Expecting That has to date sold over 400k copies in the UK.
