Great night had by all

From the support act to the main, Honeyblood , the night was filled with grace , beauty and some damn fine tunes, we enjoyed.

Classy as always

Honeyblood were amazing as always. First time visiting Le Pub, but it's a lovely venue with really friendly staff. Only downside was the weather! Will definitely visit the venue again, and would love to see Honeyblood again too!

One to watch

Didnt know much about the band until the gig but what a find. Great songs delivered with energy throughout. Check out if you like indie guitar/pop with an edge.

Incredible band!

Honeyblood are a band everyone should go and see at least once! This was my second time and they are amazing! So much energy behind their performance and really friendly people who come and chat to the crowd at the end! The support act Pearl City were awesome as well, I didn’t think they’d be my cup of tea but I was pleasantly surprised :) I’ll definitely be back for another Honeyblood gig next time there’s one in Manchester or Nottingham!

Artist Bio

Honeyblood is the solo project of guitarist Stina Marie Claire Tweedale who is joined by drummer Cat Myers with who both share vocals.

The lo fi Glaswegian band have quickly emerged as a force to be reckoned with playing fantastic gigs around the world and benefitting from prominent airplay. Honeyblood take their name from a recipe for fake blood used by Tweedale for a Halloween gig that she gargled and spat upon her attending audience.

Originally, the band’s line-up included Edinburgh girl Tweedale and drummer Shona McVicar from Cumbernauld who intended to recruit additional members but quickly began gigging after they formed in 2012 and realised that they didn’t need anyone else. They released their demo tape entitled Thrift Shop the same year.

The duo’s charisma and excellent song writing was apparent from the outset and they attracted the interest of FatCat Records by their second gig and were soon signed to the label.

They began work on their debut album in Connecticut in the United States during November of 2013 to work with producer Peter Katis, taking only ten days to complete the recording. Their eponymously titled debut album was released the following year. A year that also saw the departure of McVicar to be quickly replaced by Myers.

Since the line-up change the band have continued to progress, benefitting from prominent supporting the likes of Deap Vally, Courtney Barnett and Foo Fighters.
