Georgie Tickets

We are so excited to announce a series of intimate, limited ticketed shows to kickstart the launch of the revival of one of Nottingham’s most historic music venues, ‘The Chapel’.

Already a familiar face to many on the UK music scene, Georgie was the first signing to Soul Kitchen Recordings (the label set up by Jake Bugg’s management company: Soul Kitchen). She has built up a loyal following supporting Jake Bugg, Blossoms, Tom Walker, Jack Savoretti and The Lighthouse Family. She comes from Mansfield but her heart is in Laurel Canyon.

Her new album, ‘At Home’ received its long awaited official release on 8 January 2021, via Soul Kitchen Records.

Funded by the Arts Council: Supporting Grassroots Live Music fund, the ‘Reviving the Chapel’ project is a collaborative project between Nottingham C.A.N, The Angel Microbrewery, Phlexx Records, Mimm and Acoustickle.

In consultation with specialists we have sonically and visually rejuvenate one of Nottingham’s most historic music venues. Providing a high spec stage for local acts to showcase their music and build their following.

We have installed a brand new sound-system, lighting system and backline equipment and have worked with a graphic designer to rebrand the venue. We have also installed a eco-conscious heating/cooling system to ensure our audiences are comfortable in the space all year round.

Artist Bio

Picking up the guitar when only fourteen, the precocious player started hitting the open mic circuit of Mansfield only a year later and by the age of sixteen was adept at writing her own material and was soon debuting her own material at popular Nottingham hot spot; Jam Café.

Making the move from solo artist to band accompaniment, she has been able to explore a wider range of sounds that expands the potential of each song whilst also being able to really push her wonderful vocal abilities.

I took a deeper look into my sound and picked up that it wasn't just a folk thing anymore and there was a lot more to it. These guys came on board and from the first rehearsal we were all really happy, it's a bigger slicker sound. We're coming to the point where we have enough songs for an album, I just want to make sure everything is right. I've said this before but I don't really want to self-release anything so I need to have the right backing. Not that I want to give anything away at this point.

She has risen to the fore of Nottingham’s burgeoning music scene to become amongst the most respected artists in a town known for its talent. Now she is well known and praised by influential music critics on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean and enjoys the benefit of prominent airplay in both the UK and the US having played British and American live recorded radio sessions.
