Fantastic return

I only saw my first FF show in October 2018 at the end of their last tour, at the O2, I'd heard a couple of tracks, and I thought I'd check them out, what can I say I was hooked So when the announced this mini tour I knew immediately I had to see them again. The Castle & Falcon is a small venue, perhaps 200 people. So to the show, a start time of 9:45, was kinda late on a school night, but there was no less energy for it. If a band should be a little rusty after some time away from the road, FF did not show it, Nat admitted that the thought of playing live had raised her anxiety, but adding equally that we were as an audience a lovely return to a live setting. Three new songs were debuted, the lead single, Amateurs, which we all sang along to, and what has to be the next single surely Write Me A Song, which describes a record exec demanding the next hit, its a slight departure sonically for FF, but I thought was stand out, I cannot wait to hear this on record, it seems like one of those songs you're gonna love from the second you hear it.. in this world of instant downloads, I'd have bought this if I could. It reminds me of The Go-Gos slightly.. not sure why I think that, but thats what it brought to mind. A fantastic return, cannot wait for the new album, and the next tour, where I'm sure they'll be playing bigger venues!

Fickle Friends, The Castle & Falcon, Birmingham - 2nd December 2019

Perfect atmosphere

Fickle friends are a small band that to allow them to connect with theyre audience they need a smaller and intimate space. At the o2 it was a perfect location. The combination of great music and a great atmosphere, it made the night truly incredible!

Fickle Friends, O2 Academy2 Birmingham, Birmingham - 26th October 2018

Everything I've been waiting for

Followed Fickle friends for 3 years and loved watching them grow. Their new album is a knock out so I was extremely excited to finally see them on Monday at the Corcode 2, and they didn't disapoint. My favourites - Brooklyn, bite and hello hello were perfectly amazingly and they even blasted out Cry baby which made my night.

Fickle Friends, Concorde 2, Brighton - 19th March 2018

Best gig I’ve been to

Small venues always make gigs feel more authentic, and with such a great band like Fickle Friends that experience was made so much better. I’d never heard of the support act before (Off Bloom), but now they are in my current playlist as their performance was amazing and their music just the same. Would definitely see FF again and will definitely visit Rescue Rooms again.

Artist Bio

Pushing forward the sound of New Wave; Fickle Friends are a fantastic indie pop band from Brighton. With a clear eighties influence, they take in the joy of summer and the warmth of friendship to write the very best beach cabin tunes.

Fickle Friends tickets are now on sale but are not expected to be around for long so make sure you book yours before they are gone. You can always book your tickets with Gigantic through computer, smartphone or tablet.

The hard-working band endured a gruelling two years without the aid of a label, publisher or manager during which they played and incredible 53 festivals. They consist of drummer Sam Morris, Jack Wilson sharing keys with singer Natassja Shiner, guitarist Chris Hall and Harry Herrington on bass.

Having been on the scene for some time they have accrued a good solid fan base. Their summery sound served them well by getting them connected to the festival circuit in which they have become deeply embedded.

Their debut release came in 2014 with the single Swim which earned them much praise from the critics which created huge internet attention. After a review in Pitchfork the song shot from a couple of thousand listens to well over 500,000. This was then followed the next year by the fantastic EP entitled Velvet which was, to many, their grand announcement to the world.

Close to bankruptcy, the EP was exactly the push that the band needed as it captured major label interest and they signed to Polydor Records. Now with major financial backing they are taking regular flights out to the sunkissed sand of LA where they are recording their new album with amazing producer Mike Crossey (The 1975, Wolf Alice). The new material is expected feature heavily at their upcoming sets.

There are only limited supplies of Fickle Friends concert tickets being made available, so you will have to act fast and book yours before they are all gone.
