Great Night

The only issues is over crowding, was told they was more than 8,000 people, great night, most of the security was helpful.

BEST ARTIST SINCE BOB MARLEY TO COME OUT OF JAMAICA

This was an event of major portions for Chronixx. His fan base is on the rise. It just goes to show the love people from so many diverse pockets of society have for Chronixx. He is loved by Black, White, Asian, young and old. The message of positivity is something that leaves you feeling inspired and to do good after one of his concerts. We certainly need his message in London to combat the knife crime. For me personally, I did not like the venue. I was very angry (and so were so many others who I spoke to), that it had been held in an area so remote and so difficult to travel to and get home from but I did it for Chronixx. You had to travel via national rail and then either walk or take the bus. In my case all the buses to the venue were full and I had to walk using (google maps which failed) in a remote area for over 30mins as a lone female. Added to that, it was on a Sunday night!!!! Some people have work the next day!!! At least if it had been held on a Friday or a Saturday and within the boundaries of the London Underground we would have had the privilege of the 24hr night tube. I had to leave the venue at 22.15hrs to ensure I could get home safe thereby missing a good chunk of the concert at lease 45mins. The venue was over sold until it was jam packed. There was no place to move and you could hardly breath. People were smoking inside the venue and this added to people not being able to breath properly. I did not see security teams doing anything about people smoking inside the arena which is against the law in England. Everyone was hot and stuck against each other and using any bits of scraps of paper to fan themselves. This event was capitalism gone mad. I did have serious concerns for my safety and the safety of others. It would not have taken much for a stampede and things to go wrong. As to the performance... I could not fault it. The band Zink Fence are remarkable and they make a good team. I love the fact that Chronixx never forgets to give them full props. Chronixx is a professional through and through. He is a born performer and he is loved by his Jamaica people, African people, the diaspora and all other people of the world globally. He is the best artist to come out of Jamaica since Bob Marley. I wish him every success for the future and may his message of peace and love be heard. Next time a open stadium. I would never return to see any artist perform at Alexander Palace again.

Artist Bio

Rastafarian musician Chronixx takes a strong stance against war and colonialism. His reggae songs are a huge hit in his homeland of Jamaica and beyond.

Chronixx flexed his lyrical muscles while complementing the dense basslines and punchy horns of old-time dancehall and reggae rhythms. In all, he created a tantalizing body of work, staccatoed with interludes, that will go down in the annals of reggae music history as a musical gem.” - Jamaican Observer

Chronixx AKA Jamar McNaughton was interested in music from a young age and began song writing as early as five years old.

"My music come from early beginnings, from childhood days. I used to sing at school, in church, and then my whole family sings. My diddy, Chronicle, caused me to be very exposed to music from a very tender age. That’s where the music started for me.

However, his career truly started in 2011 with the release of debut EP Hooked On Chronixx which began to benefit from prominent airplay upon release. He has since followed this up with second EP Dread & Terrible three years later. In 2017, he released his awesome first album Chronology.

The 27-year-old singer songwriter and producer Chronixx has been described as a "legend” (by the likes of Noisey and GQ) who is "putting Rastafarianism back into Reggae” (The Guardian). Having organically built a devoted fan-base and turned industry heads as one of Jamaica’s fastest, most-promising talents to represent the iconic island to a global audience, Chronixx’s own take on the roots sound has been lauded as the jump off point for a “musical revolution”.
