Bluesfest 2017 Steely Dan and the Doobie Brothers

This was the final night of the Bluesfest 2017 and the organisers could not have chosen 2 better headliners to close the festival . The Doobies played all the hits inc Listen to the Music / Rocking down the Highway - great vocals and supreme musicianship Steely Dan ( sadly now minus Walter Becker ) were the ultimate cool - they crammed everything in they could inc almost all of the Aja album but with 40 years of material to play with they could have played all night - special mention to both the drummer and the ex little feat keyboardman who were supreme - this may be the last chance to see the Dan live again - I will take this magical experience away with me and lock it firmly in the wonderful fulfilled memory file

Variable Sound Quality

The sound quality for The Doobie Brothers was excellent. In comparison, the sound for Steely Dan was echoey and reverberating. Unfortunately, this detracted from the superb musicianship.

excellent

The gig was brilliant, Chris Isaak was a real treat to kick the whole event off. Daryl and John were fantastic. My only criticism would be that the seats we booked were too far away for a really good view. Will book better seats next time!!!

Hall & Oates

Ordering of tickets was simple and no problems with delivery so I was very impressed. First time at the O2 Arena which was quite an experience. It was unfortunate that many people got up and down throughout the concert to buy drinks so there was a constant movement of people. Being at the end of the seating area we had to get up and let people through quite a few times. We also had to put up with one man swearing and being abusive as he was very drunk. He should have never have been allowed in. However, we certainly enjoyed the concert, plenty of helpful staff and facilities.
