Brilliant Concert

A rare performance by this super rock group at the top of their game. Fantastic music and delivery, with exceptional light show.

Black Country Communion, University of Wolverhampton at The Civic Hall, Wolverhampton - 2nd January 2018

Awesome!

A shame that the band's website got the dates mixed up meaning that, instead of going to the London show, I ended up with tickets to Wolverhampton which added another 2 hours on to my journey. Having said that, the Civic Hall is a cracking theatre to see concerts and, after its imminent upgrade, should be fantastic. The BCC concert itself is hard to review - 'awesome' is the only word that comes close to this fantastic 4-piece band's performance (and even 'awesome' doesn't do the band justice!). Glenn Hughes vocals have to be heard to be believed, Jason Bonham's drumming is right up there with his Dad's, Derek Sherinian on keyboards was superb and Joe Bonamassa..... well, just about everything's been said about Joe so I'm just repeating old news..... the man's a guitar genius. Loved every minute of it.............

The Best Classis Rock Band around

Finally, an heir to the Zeppelin crown. Wolverhampton Civic Hall, Jan 2nd 2018 witnessed an extraordinary performance by BCC. Considering the all-star cast this was no surprise. Blues rock-meister Bonamassa with show stopping guitar chops, Jason Bonham (son of the mighty Zep's John) pounding the beat along, Derek Sherinian keyboard maestro up there witj Jon Lord and Keith Emerson and, of course, the legend, the mighty voice of rock, Glenn Hughes, fronting the juggernaut. They played tracks from all for studio albums from the mighty Black Country and Collide to the brilliant Cold. Whilst this is a sideline for the band members it truly should become a fulltime joyride for the guys for the next 3 or 4 years. JoBo will still have time and youth on his side to conquer the blues planet. a full time BCC really would put classic rock back on the map and give us a much need successor to Led Zeppelin.
