Good Times

Great venue. Good energy. Good atmosphere. Again, amazing venue! Nice people. Lighting and sound ace. Nice after party. Amazing venue. Good combination of artists. Went just on Saturday but should have booked whole weekend.

The best atmosphere I've ever seen

I initially bought a ticket for the great line-up of music. But as soon as I got in line, I knew it was much more than the music. And because of not knowing what was in store, I was in awe for all my time there. I regret not buying a whole weekend ticket. But i want to go every year, no questions asked. I haven't been to many concerts/festivals compared to most people, but that was the greatest experience I've ever had so far.

Afropunk is more than a festival. It is a counterculture movement that seeks to extend education and political awareness in order to enable people to become self-empowered. Mutual respect, destroying the dehumanising stereotypes and celebrating self-expression and individuality is key to Afropunk ethos.

Fostering a spirit of energy and rebellion through creativity, the celebration of diversity means exhibitions of amazing music, unique style and fresh artistic talent. The aesthetic of revolution is the first step to freedom and the aim of their festivals is to eliminate the climate of fear and empower the people through a recognition of the value of the many rich cultures that contribute to one shared world.
